We havent been around much at the end of this year due to our other commitments of designing, building and maintaining the UK affenpinscher club website and also rearing our latest Orlock babies, Orlock Angel and Orlock Nyssa (mummy is Polly and Daddy is Svennis!). This news page will be archived and a new page set up for 2008 - Have a very Happy and Peaceful New Year and good luck in 2008!

Fantastic news - Lovis has now achieved her Swedish and Norwegian Titles after getting her last CAC (total 18!) after the age of 2 years!! Many Congratulations to Veronica and Maria on achieving this with the beautiful girl.

Sorry for the lack of news for the past month we have been busy with puppies, babies and constructing the new Affenpinscher club website which we hope to go live in the next couple of weeks.

Congratulations ot Maria and Veronica of Velvetdandys kennel for winning 2nd in FCI group 2 (a huge group including bulldogs, newfoundlands and the like) at the International show in Hogbo with Lovis at the weekend!

Congratulations to Suzanne for winning yet another Best Puppy in breed with the fabulous Mimi, at City of Birmingham Championship show the same weekend.

Many congratulations to Veronica and Maria with their great wins over the weekend with affenpinscher lovis and Schnauzer Penny who went on to BIS-4 at the major international show in Northern Sweden at the weekend.

Our little Bella(jointly owned with the Velvet Dandy's Kennel) did well at the weekend too winning Best Puppy and RBPIS at the SSPK speciality

We attended the Silver (25th) Aniversary celebrations of the Griffon Bruxellois Breeders Association and whilst we were there we took advantage of the eye testing to get Neila and Bellie done - both passed normal.

We attend Paignton Championship show today - Neila won RBB and Mimi (owned by Riogaioch kennel) won Best Puppy in Breed (again!)

We found a very bizzare site about two dogs who love judo - Rexley is definately an affenpinscher both in looks and behaviour!!

We have eventually had time to update the ancestors part of the site which was patchy in information on some pages. Thanks to everyone who has allowed photos to be used for this influencial dogs. If you have any more photos or information on affenpinscher ancestors seen in Orlock pedigrees it would be great to hear from you.

Mimi (Mimosa of Riogiaoch) wins Best Bitch (at just 7 months old) and Best Puppy at South Wales Championship Show today - many congratulations to Suzanne. An exciting day at Orlock when after a very long wait we have eventually welcomed Polly to the UK.

Mojy wins another limit class and her first RCC at Windsor Championship show. BP was won by Mimosa of Riogaioch (litter sister to Jasmine), jointly bred by the Orlock and Riogaioch Kennels. Owned by Riogaioch kennel - Congrats to Suzanne on her beautiful girl's win.

Health testing results for our Swedish import Laroussu's Rakosi von Orlock who is now 18 months old: Normal for Patellae; Normal for Legg-Calve-Perthes and BVA hips score L11:R11 (which is equivalent to OFFA borderline, FCI B2 and SV (Germany) fast normal). We will hope to include Kosi in our breeding programme in 2008. click here for further information on hip scoring results from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals.

Back from our trip to Scotland to the Scottish Kennel Club Championship show, where Mojy (Orlock Carpathia) gained her stud book number (subject to KC confirmation) by winning limit.

We have had few question on our use of lines on our dogs pages so we have added a discussion article on Lines and Families in the UK affenpinscher. Please feel free to comment (agree or disagree) on the content! Also a page on information about the Champions book published by the UK Affenpinscher club co-edited by Orlock and Riogaioch kennels.

We have added a few pages of dogs in the background of our dogs including Taco (Tajar's Taco at Gebraes with Zipaty (US Imp), Cartier (Hilane High Flyer at Zipaty (US Imp) and Lucy (Zipaty's Calamity Jane). We have also added an ancestors page - let us know if you can fill in any of the blanks in the orlock pedigrees with information - or even better photos - on dogs named in the pedigree.

Something we have been waiting on so long is the arrival of Polly (US Ch Black Forest Tajar Narnia at Orlock) to the UK, and we expect her to be in the UK by the end of June.

Many happy returns to our lovely old man,Alfred (Ch Ingerdorm Drosselmeyer von Orlock) who is 10 years old today!
